Strategist

Position:

Sr. Search Strategist

Summary:

Strategists are responsible for crafting appropriate strategies, developing presentations, POVs and key strategic documents to provide thought leadership and drive innovation. Only accounts that meet a predefined threshold will be scoped in with a strategist. Strategists will have either extensive experience within the search marketplace or within a specific vertical. The strategist will report directly to the Managing Director on client related issues.

Detailed Description:

Strategist responsibilities are as follows:

  • Finance

    • Develops manpower estimates against the recommendations they generate

    • understands financial implications of strategic recommendations and the effect on the company

  • Strategy

    • Constantly researching new opportunities within search and their specific vertical

    • Works with vendors to gather supporting information related to new opportunities

    • Develops process, presentations and other supporting materials to be distributed to search directors and search managers for use with their accounts

      • Ensures all of these materials are kept up to date

    • Accompanies search directors to meetings and pitches when new strategies are being presented

    • When scoped in on specific accounts, reviews client reports to provide additional strategic recommendations

    • Meets with account teams to provide additional strategic recommendations

  • New Business

    • Provides strategic support on new business pitches

  • Client Interaction

    • Provides and presents strategy directly to clients during meetings and on calls

  • Management

    • Provides training and leadership to those wanting to move to the strategic track

    • Serves as an advisor to search directors and senior search directors on associated projects

  • Tactical

    • Must understand the tactical implications and processes of their recommended strategies
