Search Specialist
Tactical Specialist

Summary:

Specialists will either be search specialists or tactical specialists on a specific tactic (ie., trafficking specialist, keyword specialist, creative specialist or reporting specialist). It is expected that all work product produced by the specialist is accurate.

Detailed Description:

Although a specialist's specific responsibilities will vary based on the type of specialist, following is a general list of responsibilities that may apply:

  • Strategy

    • Specialists are expected to understand the strategy of any account they work on

  • New Business

    • Provides new business support to search directors by developing initial keyword lists, producing engine estimates, as well as other support as requested

  • Client Interaction

    • Search specialists are expected to attend calls and meetings when the materials created by the specialist are part of the discussion or if the search director has requested that the specialist attend for another reason

  • Management

    • Specialists should sit in on calls/ meetings that are relevant to the work they have produced or if it was requested by a senior team member

    • Stay abreast of latest search information (new offerings, engine changes, etc.)

  • Tactical

    • Develops initial keyword list for search manager's review, while noting appropriate landing pages

    • Writes initial draft of creative

    • Traffics keywords

    • Uploads creative templates to engines

    • Updates SMR

    • Assists in training other employees of the above tactical processes when required
